Welcome to RiverNET!
YERC’s RiverNET program seeks to engage and empower our community with verified and trusted data collected as part of a long-term monitoring effort on watersheds in the GYE. The program currently displays water quality and quantity data for the Upper Yellowstone River and it’s tributaries from monitoring sites located in Paradise Valley. Explore the “Dashboard” view on the left to see our most recent data!
Program News and updates
Our field techs are hard at work collecting water quality and quantity data in Paradise Valley!
We now have tributary-level flood data displayed on the application. Please note peak discharge values on 6/13/2022 should be considered provisional due to unprecedented flows in most of the tributaries.
Both our Mulherin Creek and Lower Mill Creek sensor stations were damaged beyond repair by flood debris. We are continuing to display historic data from these sites, however no new data will be reported until these stations are replaced.
Monitoring data streams from RiverNET are being used to develop predictive models for the Upper Yellowstone River watershed. Click here to watch a webinar from YERC scientist Dr. Dean Koch explaining his work.
