Stream gauge monitoring in the Upper Yellowstone
One of RiverNET’s goals is to improve water quantity information by increasing the density of stream gauge stations in the Upper Yellowstone Watershed. We’ve designed a system using robust, low-cost, user-friendly sensors that transmit data to smartphones via Bluetooth, then to the Web via Wi-Fi. But we need your help visiting the sites and downloading the data! We especially want folks who are already living and working in the Valley to get involved, like fishing guides, ranch hands, landowners, etc., but anyone with a smartphone is able to participate! And the more downloads we receive, the faster the data will be available online, so click the link below for instructions and start collecting data today!
