Professional Profile

Dr. Huang is a Post-Doc at NASA Ames Research Center and serves as an advisor to YERC. His interests are in geospatial technologies and the application to resources and the environment. These include: a) Multispectral and hyperspectral images; b) Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) and Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR); c) Multi-frequency and multi-polarization SAR; d) Geographical Information System; e) Global Position System; and f) 3D Virtual Reality to the fields of 1) Agriculture and forest monitoring; 2) Desertification, forest fire, and land cover change; 3) Carbon sequestration; 4) Wildlife habitat mapping; 5) 3D vegetation structure; and 6) Earth surface and climate change.
