Professional Profile
Randy mullen is an ecological statistician who joined YERC in 2007. Randy’s interest in quantitative ecology surfaced while working as a field technician throughout Alaska, Hawaii, and the west coast of the United States. He has as strong background in avian studies, but has experience in marine and terrestrial mammal research as well. He worked three and half years as a biometrician for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Sport Fish, where he developed a strong background in fisheries studies, as well as operational planning. His research interests at YERC include population dynamics, spatial modeling of ecological processes, and resource selection functions.
