At Yellowstone Ecological Research Center, we do not seek out publicity for the work we do, but rather seek to serve our mission in more of a "behind the scenes" manner. Regardless, as we strive to excel at collaborative research and education in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, our work sometimes comes to the attention of national and local media. Below, we provide a few examples. Note that you can click on the journal titles to see the articles.
- National Geographic: Under its Earth Almanac section, National Geographic describes the work of YERC and collaborating scientists on mapping Yellowstone streams using hyperspectral imagery.

- The New York Times: The Times highlights YERC's studies on potential ecological changes due to invasive weeds in Yellowstone National Park.

- The Wall Street Journal: Under its Technology section, the Journal highlights work by YERC Senior Remote Sensing Scientist Kerry Halligan on forest fire and fuels modeling.

- Time Magazine: As part of its coverage on the reintroduction to wolves in Greater Yellowstone, Time included this graphical model of cascading trophic effects predicted by YERC Chief Scientist Dr. Robert Crabtree.
